The project, name The Bay Lights, was designed by Leo Villareal. It was started in Sep 2012. The whole length of the project is 2.8 km and its height is 152 m. The whole project will take 2 years to finish. By then, 25 000 white LED lights like LED Panel Light will installed in the bridge. Every light can be controlled by program and to create different and complicate show effect. Only those specially-trained workers can finish the installing work under the height. Leo Villareal uses his own software to control every light and show you with dynamic and magic lighting world. “This is the project in my dream” Villareal was exciting. He once did museum and public lighting design work for London, Washington and Turkish. He said that many bridges do have lights, but no one like Bay Bridge. The brightness of lights used in the bridge has 255 levels and he will arrange them and mixed into the landscape here.
